I would recommend a reading of Faith And Action (Glaube und Handeln) written in 1938. It's a propagandistic handbook of various topics such as race, the role of the State, nationalism, self control, etc. An interesting quote is:
"Race has meaning: To be able to think in a certain way. He who possesses courage, loyalty and honour -- that which distinguishes the Germans -- is part of the race which should rule Germany, even if he lacks physical characteristics of the "Nordic" race.
Translation done by myself from the original German. I don't care much for politics but in trying to understanding many historically important events, this quote is notable.
