Simplify to learn better

Language is a tool. The best way to learn a language is to go about your day, write down things you (want to) say. Simplify them, maybe translate to Toki Pona and re-translate them later. Learn the simplified way to express things. Then gradually expand; instead of 2 sentences, make it a complex sentence or use recursion. Over time, add synonyms and different registers. This is mostly a method for A1-B1.

For example,

I see a man. He has a hat. His hat is big.

I see a man with a hat. His hat is big.

I see a man with a big hat.

That man has a big hat.

That guy has a big hat.

That guy has a huge hat.
